A Weekend of Resilience
A weekend of Resilience (n) Connect with our soul sisters in a weekend of togetherness, support, playfulness and celebration.
- The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
- The ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.
We, the WWA Committee are feeling the sadness and separation of not being able to connect at the Everywoman Gathering (EWG) this October, so as we are resilient, we have dreamed up a new event that will investigate this important attribute in these challenging times.
We also know that it’s damn good fun when women get together on mass to connect, share, learn and grow and laugh deep into our bellies!
This October, on the same weekend EWG was scheduled, (23rd & 24th Oct) we have a space to come and camp together at Neurum Creek Bush Retreat, 268 Rasmussen Road, Mount Archer.
Imagine a share camp kitchen, ample space for your tent, pop up trailer or yurt and two designated places for workshops and a special ceremonial space to sink in deep to our feminine power as we explore Resilience.
The weekend schedule will include self-time, workshop time, share time and togetherness time.
Saturday 23rd October
- Come join us Saturday morning, arriving from 9 am to 10 am so you have time to set up your tent and settle in by 11 am.
- Opening Circle before lunch
- Self-time/connect time
- Two Afternoon Workshop sessions offering a choice for each (4 different workshops)
- After DinnerLet’s have some sharing and fun around the fire!
Sunday 24th October
- Morning Walk or Guided Mediation
- Breakfast
- Closing Ceremony
- Pack camp and be ready to go by 11 am
This will be a self-catered weekend, but you can share also. Tea and coffee facilities are available.
Toilet and shower facilities are available, but it is a non-powered site and the shower is a little ways away. Please bring torches and any camp equipment you would need. WWA will have space with some modest camp kitchen facilities to share.
If you are in need of a tent, let us know you’re a ‘receiver’
If you have a spare tent or a share tent, let us know you’re a ‘giver’.
If you are seeking to carpool, please let us know if you have an available seat or looking for a ride and what area you live in and we’ll try and match you.
So how much is all this you ask? For a full day of connection, workshops and sharing and gorgeous space!
ONLY $45 each for Members and $65 for non-members, which will cover all the program and site costs.
Space is available for up to 56 women, so please confirm your attendance with payment as soon as possible.
What you need to know:
Our beautiful campsite is booked, but we need your assistance with some details for the Neurum Creek Campsite requirements. What is needed when booking is your vehicle rego and contact phone (mobile preferred) for the camping site by 17th October. We also note, that checking in to the Campsite Office will be required on arrival to check your details and provide a car pass for the site. We are all in Campsite F which is a more secluded and private area away from the main camping sites.
Please let us know if you can be a giver or if you are in need of support as a receiver so we can connect you to others to support each other.
Contact us with these details after you have booked at admin@womenswellbeing.org.
We look forward to sharing this weekend with you all!
