Another great workshop for Menergy 2024, an epic story to be told over the 3 days of Menergy.

' In the footsteps of Parsifal"

Here's more about what the workshop will explore:

"... Over three days we will unfurl the old tale of Parsifal and his search for the Grail, the eternal worldly receptacle of abundance, fecundity and magic. With roots in pre-Roman Britain, the tale was first written down in the twelfth century, after the tale had wandered into the Courts of Medieval Europe on the tongues of the old Celtic bards ...

A boy of noble blood, hidden from the world and his heritage by his grief-struck mother, Parsifal’s journey carries him from the primordial forests and rugged mountains of ancient Wales, to the court of King Arthur and then by roundabout means to the mysterious otherworldly Grail Castle.

Using his innate skill and wit, sheer luck, brute force and eventually, hard-won wisdom, Parsifal manifests his destiny and stares down his ancestral ghosts.

It is a universal journey, a tapestry woven of success and failure in equal measure.

Through youthful folly and ignorance, across the unbounded surge of adolescent masculinity, into the treacherous realm of rational adulthood, before the final descent into the dark, tear-soaked inner realms of wisdom and enlightenment, where just maybe, the grail and its gifts will be within reach.

The story wrestles with a big question: What does it take to be a knight in the service of something greater than oneself?

Orbiting this question for three nights we will traverse five decades of Parsifal's life. Through the trials and tribulations, the loves and losses, the joy, the shame and the grief and the times seemingly without hope. Like a river flowing to the sea, the story carries us back to every man's need to be in service of a higher calling, to be part of a bigger story.

To transcend the individual and touch the eternal requires a man to truly 'know thyself'.

This is the lesson of Parsifal.

And at the end of the story, maybe the King and the land will be healed and whole, maybe we will come at last to true eldership, to wisdom, to sovereignty and to service.

We lean forward into the telling of this extraordinary tale at Menergy this year..."

Men. In a society often focused on various minority groups, the unique challenges and opportunities faced by men can sometimes be overlooked. However, at this summit, we shine a spotlight on men as the largest minority, recognising their diverse experiences, struggles, and contributions.

This Summit is crafted to empower and inspire men and women from diverse backgrounds on their path to leadership.

We will unfold distinct conversations, each thoughtfully curated to address critical facets of Men’s leadership in contemporary Australia.

Almost 3000 Australian men take their lives every year.

Many try or think about trying. Our complex social issue, male suicide needs to be taken more seriously to help men create happier, healthier more functional lives.

In memory of his great friend Jason Keals who sadly took his life a wonderful man by the name of Peter Bond created The Keals Cup.

It’s such a terrific event that promotes teamwork, trust, vulnerability and connection.
